Is there always a 'however'?

The statement: there is always a 'however' is justifiably true because every issue has its benefits and drawbacks. The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki has been a topic of heated debate since its occurrence, but still the question 'Was the bombing a correct decision' remains unanswered. However, this topic is the quintessential example that there are two sides to each argument i.e. there is always a However.

Nuclear energy has been a technology that is associated with a murky and chequered past. One event which signifies the murky past of nuclear energy is the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In 1945 America dropped two bombs on Japan, each bomb was dropped on a city of importance. The bombing forced Japan to surrender after 350,000 innocent Japanese citizens were killed, brutally. So was the bombing justified? It is argued that the bombing was wrong because it took the lives of thousands of innocent people, innocent people that had nothing to do with the war. Also, evidence was later leaked to the U.S. press that Japan was planning to surrender soon, as it was very vulnerable at that time.

On the other hand, some people say that it was justified to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki because they were both defended cities so by international law of war they could be attacked, in any way. Also, the American army gave a warning of the bombing and advised to evacuate the area they would attack. As it was not certain that Japan would surrender at that time, it was strategic to stop the war by bombing, because the only alternative was to invade, which in turn would have cost more lives - both American and Japanese.

The Industrial Revolution has been the single most significant ripple that went across recorded Human History (along with the invention of the Internet and Blogger!) till now.

However, was the Revolution the epitome of the Golden age, or was the ripple an soot-filled stream spreading across Human History, is it the ultimate perpetrated creator of the fiscal cliff of doom that loom grimly over Humans; Global Warming!

Yes, it is true, the Industrial Revolution has given birth to the greatest icons of Time: Tesla, Edison, Alan Turing, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg and others which  if I start to name, the blog will become many Gigabytes long. And yes, it has given birth to revolutionary technology such as steam and electric powered auto mobiles; computers, smartphones, internet, search engines and social networks and all sorts of electronics, gadgets and life essentials. Most importantly, the access to the most important energy sources ever: Electricity.

However, as I described before, the Industrial Revolution have caused what we call global warming, because the use of fossil fuels meant that gases such as methane and carbon dioxide is released which contributes to global warming. The industrial revolution has done even more damage, by changing habitats by producing harmful things like soot and the need for land for industrial factories meant that habitats were destroyed and harmed, hence forcing species to either accommodate (evolve) like the spotted moths but the species which weren't able to do this became extinct.

On the other hand, because the Industrial Revolution took place, we may be able to produce technology that can fight these changing factors in our world, like climate change and global warming.

In conclusion, there is always and 'however', by choosing two topics that were not even remotely linked, I could present the different sides to the argument, hence displaying that there is 'however' to all arguments.
